Marvin’s Story: In December 2024, Marvins house in Cite Soleil, a very poor neighborhood in Haiti, was broken into by a group of gang members. They shot and killed his dad in front of Marvins and then, 6 different gang members raped his mom as Marvins was hiding under the bed. His mom pretended to be passed out as the gang members left her and moved to the front door of the house, pouring gasoline to set the house on fire. Marvins mom got up, grabbed Marvins, and they escaped out a small back door seconds before the gang members burned their house to the ground. Marvins and his mom lost everything and have been homeless and living on the streets of City Soleil since. Shortly after that night, Marvins mother found out she was pregnant with one of the gang members babies. She brought Marvins to KKH praying and hoping to give him a home, a bed to sleep in, and a better life. We are so grateful Marvins is now apart of our loving family at KKH.
Marvin’s Favorites: Marvins loves running around the yard playing with his brother and sisters at KKH. He loves sports, especially soccer!
